The latest 11029NAT Course in Firearms and Weapons Safety is available at the Maroochy Indoor Shooting Range
This course in Firearms Safety is the only approved training course for firearms licensing in Queensland
- Categories A, B, C, D, H & M available on-site at the Maroochy Indoor Shooting Range.
- Conducted in conjunction with the Queensland Military Rifle Club’s Registered Training Organisation RTO 45795
- Safety Course A & B (long arms) are usually held on Sunday from 8.00am to about 2.00pm in small groups of 5 or less.
- Price is $170 per person ($20 Non-Refundable deposit when booking +$150 payable on the day of the safety course).
- The date of the next Firearms Safety Course – WILL BE POSTED HERE in January 2024.
- Category H (handgun) Safety Courses for persons who are pistol club members, or intending on joining a pistol club, are available at the same time as your A&B safety course $220 ($20 Non-Refundable deposit when booking +$200 payable on the day of the safety course). Allow an additional 2 1/2 hours to complete the Cat H course.
- Or, within 12 Months of completing your A&B safety course with us, on an allocated training day, $100 (allow an additional 2 1/2 hours to complete the Cat H course).
- Category M (crossbow) Safety Courses are available at the same time as your A&B safety course $220 ($20 Non-Refundable deposit when booking +$200 payable on the day of the safety course). Allow an additional 2 1/2 hours to complete the Cat M course.
- Or, within 12 Months of completing your A&B safety course with us, on an allocated training day, $100 (allow an additional 2 1/2 hours to complete the Cat M course).
- Unfortunately, Govt Legislation requires current A&B license holders who completed their safety course 12 Months or more prior to doing a Cat H or Cat M safety course, must “re-do” the common safety course component, necessitating a full A,B & H course or full A,B & M course $170.
- No more than 3 firearms categories can be catered for on the same day (Govt Regulation) e.g. only A,B & H or A,B & M.
- We offer Safety Courses by appointment from Monday to Friday at times that suit you. Price for A&B is: 1 Person $300, 2 People $250 each, 3 or more person $200 each (+ $100 per person for either Cat H or Cat M on the same day – not both).
- Category C & D Safety Courses will be assessed, priced and organised, based on your current firearms license categories, your personal qualifications and experience, and your intended QPS Weapons Licensing C or D application criteria.
